Customer and distributor portals that answer the status question for you
When customers and distributors have to phone or email to learn where a quote or an order stands, your team becomes the database. A portal gives each of them a login and shows only their own records.
It also gives you a place to grow from: reordering, document downloads, branded documents for resellers and, later, connections to the rest of your systems.
Signs you need one
- Your inbox is full of "where is my quote or order" messages.
- Distributors resell your products and want to send documents under their own name.
- Customer data is spread over email, spreadsheets and a CRM that does not quite fit.
What I build
- Secure sign-in, with each organisation seeing only its own sites, quotes and orders.
- Quote and purchase order tracking with clear status.
- A brand kit per distributor: logo, colour and contact details on the documents they send.
- Optionally, a website your team edits themselves, on the same customer data.
How it scales
- Adding a customer or a distributor is a record, not a project.
- Access rules follow your organisation structure, including sites and sub-organisations.
- The same data feeds the website, the quote builder and later extensions such as an asset register.
Examples
- Rim-Lock Innovations: Quote builder — Rim-Lock, a manufacturer supplying mining operations, produced quotes by hand from a PDF spec form and a spreadsheet template.
- Rim-Lock Innovations: Marketing site & distributor portal — A website the Rim-Lock team edits themselves, and a portal where each distributor follows their quotes and purchase orders, and sends customers quotes branded with their own logo, colours and contact details, without calling or emailing.
