Staff lost time searching PDF manuals for the settings and procedures for each piece of equipment.
They now ask in plain language and get an answer quoted from the right manual page. 39 manuals and about 6,950 indexed passages run on one on-site machine, so documentation stays private.

The problem
A production studio full of hardware comes with a shelf of PDF manuals. Finding one setting mid-session meant knowing which manual it was in, then paging through it.
What I built
- 39 manuals, split into about 6,950 passages and indexed on one machine in the studio.
- Plain-language questions answered by a local AI model from the matching passages, with the manual and page cited so the answer can be checked.
- A web page to ask from, filterable to a single device, reachable from outside the studio behind a password.
- The model, the index and the manuals all stay on the studio machine, so nothing is sent to a third-party AI service.
The outcome
Staff get a sourced answer in seconds instead of searching PDFs, and the studio keeps its documentation private.
